Adult B'nai Mitzvah Class 2018-2019

Have you never read from the Torah? Maybe you want to do so again as an adult? Perhaps

you've never been called to the Torah by the proper pronouns, or in a setting that embraces
your complete identity?

Join Congregation Kol Ami in our Adult B'nai Mitzvah class in the New (Jewish) Year!

Beginning Tuesday, October 23, and continuing for 8 weeks in the fall semester (with spring dates TBD), this weekly course is designed to help students learn to chant Torah (or improve their skills at doing so), as well as to explore the content, themes, and history of our holy texts.

Team-taught by Rabbi Denise L. Eger, Rabbi Max Chaiken, and Kol Ami member, Cantor Nancy Cohen, the Adult B'nai Mitzvah cohort will ultimately craft the service where they will take on this sacred obligation to keep Torah alive.

The course will cost $180 per person per semester, and there will be a fall and spring semester.

Classes will run on Tuesdays at 7:00 pm here at Kol Ami.
RSVP to [email protected] by Tuesday, October 16.
Commit yourself to Torah in a new way for the new year!
