6:00 PM - 8:00 PMOn Saturday, February 8th at 6:00 PM, Open Yad invites you to join us at Kol Ami for an evening of learning, reflection, and creativity as we delve into the sacred use of smell on our Kol Ami rooftop. This is a one-of-a-kind Havdalah event where we explore the powerful connection between scent, spirituality, and ancient Jewish ritual.
-
Discover the Role of Smell in the Ancient Temple: Learn how fragrances and incense played a vital role in worship and spiritual connection in the holy Temple of Jerusalem.
-
Aromatherapy in Spiritual Practice: Explore how scent has been used throughout history to enhance one’s sense of well-being, deepen mindfulness, and elevate spiritual experiences. We’ll discuss the ways aromatherapy can be integrated into modern spiritual practices.
-
Create Your Own Essential Oil Blends: Be part of our hands-on learning where you’ll craft your own custom essential oil blend. Whether for relaxation, focus, or spiritual connection, you’ll walk away with a unique personal fragrance that resonates with you.
-
Meaningful Havdalah Ceremony: End the evening with a Havdalah ceremony, where we mark the separation between Shabbat and the coming week, grounding ourselves in gratitude, reflection, and intention.
This event is open to our Open Yad community. No prior experience with aromatherapy or Jewish rituals is needed! Space is limited, so RSVP early to secure your spot. We also are requesting $10 from each attendant to help cover the costs of security and supplies.
We can’t wait to share this special evening with you!
